Position overview

Are you passionate about working in analytical laboratory environment for a wide variety of products characterization and documentation? We are looking for an Analytical lab technician/chemist that would execute different analytical techniques of radiation curable products and others in the frame of development projects, manufacturing & pilot & QC support, regulatory compliance, patents and specific customers requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Performing reliable and accurate complex and specialized analyses (Mass Spectrometry, Chromatography, Spectroscopy, Wet Chemistry, and etc.,) to support product development (R&D), solving customer questions (TS&D), trouble-shooting (pilot, production), new regulations.
  • Data management (calculation, specific lab and application software) and reporting with short written documents (Excel, Word, etc.,)
  • Autonomous work organization and priority setting within defined objectives & deadlines;
  • Writing & presentation of analytical results/reports/methods
  • Maintenance of lab analytical techniques and work stations
  • Development and validation of new analytical method(s) and/or procedures
  • Keeps him/herself informed of new technological developments, methods and scientific literature in his/her own field of work;
  • Compliance with good laboratory practices and behavioral based safety
  • Labeling (MSDS) & stock management (analytical standards, solvents, gases, consumables) and waste management
  • Adherence to quality, safety & environmental ISO procedures (calibration of equipment, test methods, etc.)
  • Active participation to specific job-related internal and/or external meetings or events.

Required skills and experience

  • Precise, rigorous, critical and creative personality with strong customer focus and structured mindset towards deliverables
  • Interest in working in an analytical lab environment implying hands-on-the-job realizations and problem-solving
  • Multi-lingual practice (FR/NL/EN) with demonstrated team spirit and excellent communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS, LC-MS) and/or Chromatography (GC, UPLC, GPC)
  • Good knowledge of informatics and quantitative data analysis
  • Strong dedication to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry with preferred orientation in analytical chemistry and/or organic chemistry and/or industrial chemistry
