ChemCYS' 14th edition will take place from 21 to 23 February 2018 in Blankenberge (Belgium).

Our conference gives young attendees the opportunity to present early results of their research. Topics are focussed on the typical research domains in chemistry. The best oral and poster presentation of each session will be awarded.

Plenary keynote lectures by world-renowned scientists are scheduled as well. 2016 Nobel prize laureate Prof. Dr Ben Feringa (University of Groningen) will give a lecture on molecular machines. Prof. Dr Sir Martyn Poliakoff (University of Nottingham) will engage you his talk focussing on green chemistry with respect to the environment and 2009 Nobel prize laureate Ada Yonath (Weizmann Institute of Science) will give a lecture on the discovery of the structure of ribosomes.

In parallel, six seminars focussing on soft skills will prepare the participants on life after graduation. We will focus on "Tech Transfer: from PhD research to spin-off", "Intellectual Propperty for scientists", "Data Management", "How to improve your C.V.", "Managing your online profile and get your professional head shot" and "Digital Lab Notes".

Last but not least, ChemCYS features KaféCV, our entrance level networking event where participants get to know various companies and their recruitment policies. Unlike traditional job events, KaféCV focusses on career development rather than existing vacancies.

Registration will open on June 1, 2017.
